Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) - FRIGATE Series

The FRIGATE Series provides airport fire and rescue capabilities. Engineers build these vehicles on commercial platforms like MAN, Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Astra, and IVECO. The design combines firefighting technology with proven automotive engineering to meet global aviation standards. A high-torque diesel engine producing at least 540 horsepower drives the vehicle. It accelerates from 0 to 80 km/h in under 30 seconds.

The 8x8 configuration handles maximum endurance tasks. It utilizes a 4-axle chassis to transport up to 11,000 liters of extinguishing agent. Engineers design this primarily with a 2-door single cab to maximize payload. This unit provides sustained firepower for major crash incidents. It ensures continuous suppression while support units arrive.

Technical Highlights

Aluminum Body Construction
The ALX-AP extruded aluminum body uses 6061-T6 and 6063-T6 alloys. The nut-and-bolted design resists corrosion and minimizes vehicle weight.
Fire Pump System
The GORNER Series FP-6000 single-stage centrifugal pump outputs 6,000 liters per minute at 10 bar.
Foam Proportioning
The FOMMIX automatic system handles 1, 3, or 6 percent foam mixtures.
Joystick Turret Controls
A CAN-controlled roof turret delivers up to 5,000 liters per minute. A bumper turret provides up to 3,000 liters per minute. Operators control both using a one-hand joystick.
Self-Protection Systems
Under-truck nozzles spray a water curtain on all wheels and the vehicle front during close-range interventions.
Advanced Vision
The vehicle features FLIR Night/Smoke Assist Driving and pneumatic light masts for low-visibility operations.
Regulatory Compliance
The apparatus meets full ICAO mandates and partial NFPA 414 requirements.
